Futura in The Royal Tenenbaums

Thought this was an interesting highlight to one of my favorite films – much of the type that Wes Anderson utilizes in the film are different variations of Futura. I haven’t really personally considered the use of type in film, rather films are expected and tend to focus on film cues such as lighting, framing, cuts, etc. I’ve personally watched The Royal Tenenbaums 5+ times and actually never noticed the use of Futura in it, aside from a still of Dudley’s World.

I’m curious as to how intentional certain typefaces are used in introductions to films, as well as credits and type on actual objects throughout films.
